Janet Vodka is not a cocktail, but it very well could be. If you felt like getting really insanely drunk one evening, you could very easily destroy more than a few brain cells by mixing one part singer-songwriter Chris Sauer, one part multi-instrumentalist and producer Ron Caswell, and thirteen parts musical mayhem and mischief. Shake well, pour over ice, toss in a hefty handful of debauchery and garnish with parsley. Voila - you've got yourself a nice, tall glass of Janet Vodka - guaranteed to blow your mind and get your body rockin'. Janet Vodka also has the musicianship to resize it's great girth to a rockin' 4-piece ensemble. After all, not every stage was built for 15 people!

The band is officially called Janet Vodka but sometimes it feels snarky and calls itself Janet Vodka's 15-piece New York Rock 'n' Roll Catastrophe. You can call it anything you'd like, as long as you use the words "infectiously hip tunes", "lyrically and musically intense" and "completely fearless". In addition to Chris and Ron, Janet Vodka's 15-pieces of wonder include four horn players, two Satan's Cheerleaders, one Mercury Man and one go-go dancer dressed in saran wrap. It's a movement, people - it's a veritable revolution. The Janet Vodka revolution - it'll sweep you off your feet and deposit you ever-so-gently several miles from home. Janet Vodka is not just a band; it's a way of life.

Because Janet Vodka is so committed to providing an arena in which craziness, decadence, and general excitement can flourish and multiply, the band hosts an infamous party known as "Redwarehouse" on the first Saturday of every month, at a suitably debaucherous and underground location. Janet Vodka also believes in spreading their message to the masses, and have recently performed at such varied venues as Kitsch Inn at True, the Hard Rock Cafe, Siberia Bar, Downtime, The Bellevue Bar, CBGB's, Mercury Lounge, L' amours, The Continental, Kenny's Castaways, Elbow Room, Columbia University, Sidewalk Bar and Restaurant, BMW Bar, CBGB's 313 Gallery, Nightingales Bar, Love Sexy, the Lions Den, Luna Lounge, Baby Jupiter, the C-Note, along with Mother Earth's Café and Valentine's in Albany, New York, the OPL in Syracuse, New York and the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto.
